Bonus based on performance Turn Your Tech Skills Into Real Business Results

Sharon Layman State Farm Agency | Tempe, Arizona Paid Part-Time Internship | 1 Position Available | Start ASAP Want to do more than study digital marketing and AI?

We are looking for one smart, analytical, curious ASU student who wants hands-on experience using: Google Ads + AI + Analytics + Digital Marketing + Real Business Data

This is not an internship where you spend your internship making social media posts or watching someone else work. You will work with an established local business and learn how digital advertising actually turns into: Clicks → Leads → Opportunities → Customers → Revenue

Your Primary Mission

Help us continually improve the performance of our Google Ads and digital lead-generation efforts. You will work directly with Sharon Layman, State Farm Agent/Owner, who already has extensive hands-on experience managing Google Ads and digital marketing. You will not be expected to figure everything out alone. Sharon understands the strategy. We are looking for someone who wants to learn it, execute it, analyze it and eventually take increasing ownership of the day-to-day work. What You Will Work On

Depending upon your experience and development, you will help with: • Google Ads campaign management • Keyword research • Search-term analysis • Negative-keyword management • Match-type strategy • Ad copy and testing • Geographic performance analysis • Device performance • Budget analysis • Conversion tracking • Google Analytics • Search Console • Landing-page performance • Competitive research • Lead-quality analysis • Cost-per-lead reporting • Customer-acquisition reporting • Marketing dashboards • Data organization • AI-assisted marketing analysis • Marketing workflow automation We Care About More Than Clicks

Clicks are not customers. Impressions are not revenue. You will learn to analyze the entire customer-acquisition process: Advertising Spend → Lead → Quote Opportunity → Customer → Revenue

You will learn to ask questions such as: Which campaigns are actually generating qualified opportunities? Which search terms are wasting money? Where should we spend more? Where should we spend less? Why did conversion performance change? What should we test next? That is how businesses actually evaluate marketing. AI Is Your Force Multiplier

We want someone who is genuinely interested in AI and wants to discover practical ways to use it.

You may use AI to help with:

• Search-term analysis • Keyword discovery • Competitive research • Advertising research • Ad-copy development • Data analysis • Reporting • Marketing workflows • Testing ideas • Automation • Business productivity We are not interested in using AI simply because it is trendy. We want to answer: Can AI help us do this faster, smarter or better?

You Do Not Need to Be a Google Ads Expert Yet Google Ads experience is a major plus.

But we are willing to train the right person. We care enormously about how you think. You may be a great fit if you:

• Love figuring out why something is or is not working • Notice patterns in numbers • Learn technology quickly • Are naturally curious about AI • Are comfortable with spreadsheets and data • Take initiative • Ask excellent questions • Follow detailed instructions • Check your own work • Enjoy testing ideas • Are reliable and accountable • Want responsibility • Want your work to have measurable impact Majors We Would Love to Meet Students from all majors may apply. Particularly relevant areas include:

• Digital Marketing • Marketing • Business Data Analytics • Information Systems • Artificial Intelligence • Computer Science • Data Science • Entrepreneurship • Business Your major matters less than your curiosity, analytical ability, reliability and willingness to learn. Real Responsibility With Guardrails You will not receive unrestricted authority over an advertising budget on your first day. You will: Learn the account. Analyze the data. Make recommendations. Implement approved changes. Measure the results. As you demonstrate good judgment and accuracy, you will earn increasing responsibility. Because we operate in a regulated industry, you will also learn something many marketing internships never teach: Effective marketing must also be accurate, responsible and compliant. Work Directly With an Experienced Business Owner You will work directly with Sharon Layman, State Farm Agent/Owner in Tempe since 2007. Her agency career includes recognition through President’s Club, Chairman’s Circle, Million Dollar Round Table and Ambassador Club. You will have the opportunity to see how marketing decisions affect an actual operating business rather than working only with classroom simulations. What You Could Have on Your Résumé Imagine graduating and being able to say: “I helped manage real Google Ads campaigns, analyzed customer-acquisition economics, used AI to improve marketing workflows and learned how advertising spend translates into actual business revenue.” That is the kind of experience we want this internship to provide. Internship Details Paid part-time internship Tempe, Arizona Primarily in person initially, with flexibility as appropriate once you understand the business and demonstrate reliability. Flexible schedule around ASU classes 1 position available Start ASAP Employment Requirement Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the required background check. No insurance licensing is required for this position. Think You Might Be Our Person? We are not looking for perfect answers. We are looking at how you think. We Do Not Expect You to Know Everything. We want someone who sees a problem and thinks: “Let me figure this out.” If you are curious about AI, interested in digital marketing, love learning technology and want your work to produce measurable results, we want to meet you. 1 Position Available | Start ASAP | Applications Reviewed Immediately Sharon Layman State Farm Agency is an independent employer.
